.BAT Files

To start your mining software and to change parameters in an efficient manner, you will need .bat files.  You may also want to consider setting up a config file, but a .bat file is what most users need.

  1.   Create a new text file, and rename the extension to .bat.  You may have to change folder options to show extensions if it is not enabled already.
  2.   Enter your parameters.
  3.   Place the .bat file in the folder where the executable for the mining software is located.
  4.   To have the .bat file load on startup, place it in the windows startup directory.

If you want to set environment variables, you can put them at the start of the .bat file.  These are useful to get the maximum out of your GPU, especially if its a 2gb variant.  For example,

set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Followed by the actual .bat file commands, for example,

F:\cygwin64\bin\python3.4m  silentarmy –instances=1 -c stratum+tcp://zec-us.coinmine.pl:7007 -u fr4nkthetank.6 -p x –use=0

or

ZecMiner64.exe -zpool zec-us.coinmine.pl:7007 -zwal fr4nkthetank.6 -zpsw x -i 2 -dbg -1 -mport -3333

For the SilentArmy and the Claymore Miner respectfully (both for ZEC).  For the particular options you can use, analyze the readme file.  This should get you started the right direction !

For more advanced users, you can setup your .bat file to reload if the program crashes.  For example this will do the trick.

title Rig6
:start
genoil.exe -c zec-us.coinmine.pl:7007 -u fr4nkthetank.6 -p x -P 0 -f 2 -i 20 -w 64 -k zec zec
cls
timeout /T 10
goto start

    1. Hi! This website is kinda old now 🙂 However, I suggest you read the PhoenixMiner page on bitcointalk https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.0
If you have two cards and don’t specify an -i command in the bat file, then all cards should be running. Verify in your device manager if both your cards are being detected by the system prior to mining.
      Good luck !
